Welcome to Super Zone Kapilvastu

To increase the production and productivity of agriculture sector, technology, inputs, mechanization, processing and marketing are the major delivers. With realization of modernization in agriculture sector, Government of Nepal started Rice Zone program in Kapilavastu since the fiscal year of 2073/074. Initially the program was implemented in different wards of Banganga, Buddhabhumi and Kapilvastu municipality. In the fiscal year 2075/076 the Zone program was upgraded in Superzone and area is also expanded. At present Super Zone covers 1 to 11 wards of Banganga, 1, 2, 3, and 4 wards of Buddhabhumi, 7, 8 , 9, 10 and 11 wards of Kapilvastu Municipality, 1 to 6 wards of Suddhodhan Rural Municipality and 1 to 8 wards of Mayadevi Rural municipality. This program expects to increase the production and productivity of rice and modernization of Rice sector through mechanization, processing and marketing. Finally it aims to reduce huge import of rice and rice related products through industrialization.
